Within Aura's Custom Strategy Builder, there's a small tweak that can be made to easily handle your suppressed listings.

*Note that if you're using the Buy Box Targeting strategy, this is integrated as a default setting.

To do so, you'll need a single pre-requisite:

  • Your Competition Type is set to Only Buy Box.

Here's what that looks like:

Next, you'll go to the Pursuit section of the strategy builder, where you tell Aura exactly how you want to reprice against your competition.

*It's important to note that the word competition should be replaced with your competition type (ie, "competition" is replaced with "the Buy Box" in this example)

Within the Pursuit section, there is a setting titled "When there is no competition"

This is telling Aura what you want it to do when there is no competition, or when there is no Buy Box for our example.

To have Aura handle your suppressed listings, you'll need to set it to the following:

This setting assumes that the current prices on the listing are too high. When this triggers, Aura will begin lowering your price by $0.02 (we suggest either 0.01 or 0.02 as the value you use) until the Buy Box is reactivated or you hit your Minimum price, whichever happens first.

It's also important to note that this setting will only take effect when a listing is suppressed and will not effect your other listings where this strategy is applied.

So, as a rule of thumb, we love baking this setting into strategies because it automatically handles suppressed listings without any input from you 🤓

Now you can do your happy dance, knowing that Aura will begin reactivating your suppressed listings! 🎉
